InnSane

Not only must I serve as chef, art director, and all around maintenance person, but I suppose I must blog, too.

The Jerry Weiss workshop has been going very smoothly. Jerry is a fabulous instructor with a great sense of humor. I haven’t been able to spend as much time as I would like mingling with everyone (see list of duties above), but I hear a happy crowd in the dining room when I am in the kitchen.

Tonight I serve Pear and Pecan Salad with a Blue Cheese Dressing, Cuban Bread with Chives, Ratatouille with Italian Sausage, Brie on Baked Polenta with Fig Sauce, and Mint Brownie Pie with Vanilla Ice Cream.

I have enjoyed cooking, but trying to do two multi-part jobs can be a bit much over the long haul. I’ll be glad when Mark is back. I have workshops to arrange and marketing programs to develop!

We have a wonderful staff here that has made this double duty time actually a pleasure!

Anatoly Dverin, the instructor for the next workshop arrived today and is joining the Weiss workshop for dinner.

There is also a writer for the American Artist magazine who is profiling Jerry Weiss and Anatoly Dverin in an article. He has joined us for dinner and a day at the workshop painting. A very personable fellow and I can’t wait to read the article.
