Actually, they aren’t from Violet, they’re independent photographers. Nice kids. They have a baby with them also named Violet. Cute kid.
The mag’s website is only a 0/10 on Google and it has too many gewgaws and heavy with flash and dhtml. It’s nice and I guess it appeals to the kids. (I can’t believe I said that. Ouch. I feel my bones aging.) Way too much graphics and not enough content. But I’m sure that’ll change.
So, I’ll give them a leg up and refer to them from my Google 4/10 blog. 🙂 Well, sometimes it’s 4/10. On most of the Google databases, that is. On some it’s 3/10.
What does 0/10 or 4/10 mean? Mmmm, pasta salad.

Well, the thing is, Google rates the sites based on a scale from 0 to 10. Wall Street Journal is an 8 and MSN.com is a 10.
It depends on links coming in and on content. It’s some formula that they know and we guess at.
Basically, my little blog has a better rating than their mag. This means I am easier to find with search engines. Or rather Google.
I’m well indexed by the other engines, major and minor, as well.
