Well, we’ve found a beautiful little Dalmatian boy puppy to call our own. He’s a show quality dog and we’d be back on the show circuit but the great thing is, it’s year round in NY where as in California, it’s only in the Summer. Figure that out. That makes it much easier to show a dog.

All the puppies at Erin Dalmatians were so sweet and cute and this little guy is very well put together. He’ll be a champ for sure.

We’re trying to name him. So, here’s your chance. Submit your names. If you come up with the winning name, you get a free hot cocoa! Or cold cocoa. Or just some cocoa! If you can even come up with a name that we haven’t thought of. In any case, we’ll have a new inn dog. Yeah!

Here he is! For more pictures, go to Kim’s Crazy By Design Blog!

What a cute puppy!

What a champ!

  1. All great names. We are leaning towards Roarke or Hudson. Probably Hudson.

He is a good looking dog. We can’t wait to start showing him. He’s also very cute. It’ll be nice having a puppy round the house.

Keep those cards and letters coming.

  2. Ooops. Kim reminds me our kennel name is actually Spotted-R and Rusty was Spot’s name. So, his show name was Calico’s Rusty Spotted-R. So, his name will probably be something like Spotted-R Erin’s Hudson or something like that.

  3. Indeed, I just finished Memory in Death. Kim is somewhere in the middle of the series.

Hot spot? Well, that might work. Our last pup, a ridgeback, was Spot.

I think we’ll probably go with Hudson and a show name of…?

How about Erin’s Hudson Art Top Chef?

Kim wants to change the kennel name. So it may be changed to Hudson Art Kennels or maybe, Sweet Spot, Noble Fur, Noble, Noble Art, Art Spot, who knows at this point?

Ok, how about “Hudson Hot Spot”

Hot Spot rhymes and rolls off the tongue well. “Hudson” adds a bit of aliteration to the mix.

    Yeah, I like it. Gene-yuses Hue-knight!

  5. Excellent blog and thanks for the opportunity to share my thoughts here. I also love dogs and I decided to put together a website dedicated to dog training. However, I am actually trying to offer both some general tips for training your dog and some breed-specific training techniques. I believe each dog breed is slightly different and thus requires an adaptation of the standard dog training methods, to suit the breed’s behavioral patterns and genetic predispositions. This is why I believe there is quite a bit of difference between affenpinscher training and bandog training. Or between dalmatian dog training and Afghan hound training. Each breed has its own distinct personality, and an independent breed like the dal will require stricter training than the disciplined bandog.

There are hundreds of dog breeds I wish to cover and I am only half way through, but I hope to turn my site in the best dog training resource on the Internet.

An excellent day to everyone reading this!
