Mother Nature smiled on Tony van Hasselt’s workshop last week! Even though rain and thunderstorms were predicted for the entire week, the class was able to enjoy painting outdoors on all of their planned days.
The first day, after the morning lecture, Tony took the group out by the pool for a demo.
Mark and David working at keeping the pool sparkling.
Displaying another kind of sparkle is the beautiful Korean Dogwood by the front driveway.
The roses and the climates on the flowering fence provided lots of local color.
And speaking of color, one night yummy chicken jambalaya was on the menu!
On another outing, the class went to the historic town of Rensselaerville. This town is always a favorite with the painting groups because there are so many interesting subjects.
It was a wonderful week and the dinnertime story readings and singing performances made it totally special and memorable.
